practice of Late Victorian Hair

Using heated rollers, to create curls in the hair, and they are put in using wide grips that go with the each colour of the rollers, to secure them in, but there wasn't any that i could use for these rollers, so used clips, which work just as well, but rolled the hair up in them, then done four at the front and two each going downwards in the hair.

This was my practice of doing a bun again, but i found this quite hard, as the hair needs washing and was still quite


















I tried to create the curls, like how it was in the Victorian era and was difficult, as had to use a curling iron first, but didn't curl as well, as the hair needs washing and was still really thick to even create something very good, and just securing them with bobby pins, which you can see, and i don't like that.

I think if i did it again, i would improve my skills on curling hair and just practice this, as could use this technique in my character idea.













Once took the rollers out, this is what the hair looked like, and i do need to work on that, and get to know how they done their hair of that era, as i want to finish this practice and then show the skills in my on design.
